I started on the new project today, a 10 foot bull whip for my nephew who’s a cowboy over in New Mexico. I’m calling it Lone Star and will include a medallion with said emblem in the heel knot just to remind him where he’s from.

The handle is attached to the core and the core is shot loaded, bolster added and bound in.

Starting the first belly

First belly is on. and wrapped with sinew.

A side project for my daughter, a school teacher.

Another side project, a new fall and cracker for my son-in-law’s whip. He’s had it two weeks and has gone through 3 crackers already. Made the new fall with a loop on the craker end as well as at the fall hitch end to make t easier to change the cracker.
