Show Whip

Here’s a little show whip for my cousin’s daughter who shows pigs. It is used to tap the shoulder of the pig in the show ring to try and keep it in front of the judge. It is a 12-plait, purple and black whip, 48 inches long, and has a 7-inch Indian Ebony handle. It is plaited around a thin, tapered fiberglass rod that is 36 inches long. The plaiting extends past the fiberglass rod for another 5 inches and ends in an 8-plait hitch like a fall hitch except with no fall. The lace is some of the smallest I’ve ever worked with-3/32nds of an inch wide.
